Meet Our Founder & Director – Marnita Palmer-Wright
Marnita Palmer-Wright is the Founder and Director of Abundance Phlebotomy Academy LLC, a licensed private healthcare training school dedicated to preparing students for successful careers in the medical field. With more than 20 years of healthcare experience, she has devoted her career to serving patients, mentoring future healthcare professionals, and creating opportunities within her community.
Driven by a passion for education and workforce development, Marnita established Abundance Phlebotomy Academy to provide affordable, high-quality healthcare training programs that equip students with the knowledge, confidence, and hands-on skills needed to excel in today’s healthcare industry. Under her leadership, the academy has helped numerous graduates launch careers in phlebotomy, medical assisting, and patient care.
In addition to her role as an educator and business owner, Marnita is currently continuing her nursing journey, with aspirations of becoming a Nurse Practitioner. She is deeply committed to faith, family, community service, and empowering others to achieve their goals.
Her mission is simple: to inspire, educate, and create opportunities where passion meets purpose and excellence meets opportunity.
Getting to Know Our Instructor – Rashunda Hall
My name is Rashunda Hall, and I was born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama. I am a proud wife, mother of two children, and grandmother to one grandson.
I am a graduate of Capps College, where I earned my certification as a Clinical Medical Assistant in 2005. I am also a nationally certified Phlebotomist through the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) and a recent graduate of H. Councill Trenholm State Community College, where I earned my Associate Degree in Business Administration Management.
In 2023, I founded Caring Hands Mobile Health Service, serving the Montgomery community with a commitment to quality healthcare and compassionate patient care. Throughout my 20-year healthcare career, I have gained extensive experience in both clinical and administrative roles while working in private physician offices, hospitals, and laboratory settings.
I am passionate about educating and mentoring future healthcare professionals, and I am dedicated to helping students develop the skills, confidence, and professionalism needed to succeed in the healthcare field. My goal is to create a positive learning environment where students feel supported, empowered, and prepared for their future careers.
Getting to Know Our Instructor – Sonya Cottrell
Hello! My name is Sonya Cottrell, and I am a dedicated healthcare professional with over 18 years of experience in the medical field. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work in a variety of healthcare settings, including pediatrics, OB/GYN, urgent care, podiatry, customer service, and phlebotomy.
As a passionate Phlebotomy Instructor, I am committed to helping students build confidence, develop essential hands-on skills, and prepare for successful careers in healthcare. I believe that every student has the potential to succeed when given the right guidance, encouragement, and support.
My teaching philosophy centers around creating a positive and supportive learning environment where students can grow both personally and professionally. Through my experience, knowledge, and genuine passion for helping others, I strive to inspire, motivate, and equip the next generation of healthcare professionals with the tools they need to excel in the healthcare industry.

Getting to Know Our Administrative Manager & Director’s Assistant – Monica Johnson
Hello! My name is Monica Johnson, and I proudly serve as the Administrative Manager and Director’s Assistant at Abundance Phlebotomy Academy LLC. I am dedicated to supporting both our students and staff while helping ensure the academy operates efficiently and professionally.
In my role, I assist with admissions, enrollment, student records, scheduling, communication, and daily administrative operations. As the Director’s Assistant, I work closely with the Director to help coordinate programs, events, student services, and academy initiatives that contribute to student success.
I am passionate about providing exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming environment for every student. I understand that pursuing a healthcare education is an important step toward achieving career goals, and I strive to make each student’s experience as smooth and positive as possible.
My goal is to support our students from enrollment through graduation by providing guidance, encouragement, and assistance whenever needed. I am honored to be a part of the Abundance Phlebotomy Academy family and look forward to helping our future healthcare professionals succeed.
